WAXING

Waxing is a highly effective method of removing unwanted hair from virtually any area of the body using a specially formulated wax. At Aesthetics by Chelle, we offer both soft wax and hard wax to suit your skin type and personal preferences.

Hard Wax is applied in a thick layer and allowed to dry slightly before being gently removed without the use of strips. It adheres to the hair rather than the skin, making it ideal for sensitive areas.

Soft Wax is applied in a thinner layer and removed using a pelon (cloth) strip, making it perfect for larger areas like legs or arms.

If you have a wax preference, just let us know before your appointment. We are happy to accommodate your needs for the best and most comfortable experience!

Post-Care Treatment

Proper aftercare is essential to prevent irritation, ingrown hairs, and breakouts while allowing your skin to heal smoothly. For the first 5–7 days after waxing, follow these guidelines:

– Avoid exfoliation and active ingredients
Skip scrubs, retinoids, and acids (like glycolic or salicylic) for a few days to avoid further irritation.

– Protect your skin from direct sunlight
Waxed skin is more sensitive to UV rays. Apply SPF 30+ daily and avoid tanning beds and prolonged sun exposure.

– Avoid extreme heat
No hot tubs, saunas, steam rooms, or hot showers directly on the waxed area for 24–48 hours.

– Skip workouts for 24 hours
Sweating can introduce bacteria and clog open follicles, increasing the risk of breakouts or ingrowns.

– Wear loose, breathable clothing
Tight clothes can rub against the waxed area and cause irritation or ingrown hairs.

– Avoid touching or scratching
Freshly waxed skin can feel sensitive, keep your hands off to prevent bacteria from causing breakouts or infections.

– No pools or hot tubs
Chlorinated or saltwater can irritate newly waxed skin.

– Avoid scented or harsh products
Use gentle, fragrance-free cleansers and moisturizers. Harsh products can sting or cause inflammation.

– Start gentle exfoliation after 2–3 days
Use a mild scrub or chemical exfoliant to prevent ingrown hairs, only after the skin has calmed down.

– Keep bedding clean
Especially after body or facial waxing, sleep on fresh sheets and pillowcases to avoid bacteria or product transfer.

Bonus Tip:

Wait at least 24–48 hours before applying deodorant (for underarm waxing) or engaging in intimacy (for bikini/Brazilian waxing). Let your skin rest to avoid irritation or infection.
